Saw it on Friday in 3-D. Cameron has done it again! I enjoyed the hell outta myself! Better than I thought it was gonna be! Sam Worthington's performance (like Terminator Salvation) was one of the main spectacles that made the film worth seeing! The CGI, done by Lord Of The Ring's FX house, Weta Digital, was some of the most stunning CGI I have ever seen, rivaling that of even FX juggernaut ILM! I never felt any jolting transition between the Na'vi sequences and the RDA (human) sequences!

Every cast member was really entertaining. I really enjoyed Sigourney Weaver's performance...like there was any doubt to that?

Joel David Moore (JP from Grandma's Boy and Fischer from Bones), played Norm Spellman, Jake Sully's (Sam Worthington) fellow Avatar companion. He needed a bigger role, in my opinion. Michelle Rodriguez was Trudy Chacon, a pilot in the RDA that becomes fast friends with the above crew. Stephen Lang as Colonel Quartich, was a complete asshole who you couldn't wait to see get his!

Giovanni Ribisi played Parker Selfridge, Cameron's typical wormy little corporate officer that only cares about the advancement and/or acquisition of the company/alien artifact. He was a little piece of shit that you just felt him oozing with slime.

The Na'vi were very cool looking. the animation and facial work were among the most amazing digital work I have ever seen! Neytiri (Zoe Saldana; Star Trek 2009's Uhura) was a delight to watch. Her job to train Jake's Avatar in the way's of her people was both funny and touching, as well as exciting. There are so many scenes between them that was cool, I am not gonna divulge them here....just see it, already!

Star Trek was my top pick for the movie of the year, IMO, but after seeing Avatar, I am ready to change that opinion now.

Check it out, even though the hype is huge, you won't be disappointed!
